MEMBERSHIP GRADES & QUALIFICATIONS

Fellow (FIBM): £55.00

The Board of Governors bestow this honour to Members who have rendered outstanding service to the Institute. Nominations are invited annually.

Member (MIBM): £45.00

Applicants who have attained one of the following qualifications will be considered for Member.

  • University Degree
  • The Institute of Builders Merchants “Business Studies Course”
  • BMF “Diploma in Merchanting”
  • HNC Certificate in Business Studies
  • HND Diploma in Business Studies
  • NVQ Level 4
  • Company Management Programmes as approved by the Board of Governors
  • Other qualifications as verified by the Board of Governors
  • 5 years experience in a Management position

All Qualifications including Management experience may be assessed and verified by the Institutes Board of Governors.

Associate (AIBM): £25.00

Applicants who have attained one of the following qualifications will be considered for Associate.

  • NVQ Level 3
  • Two A Levels or equivalent
  • 5 years experience in a Supervisory position

All Qualifications including Supervisory experience may be assessed and verified by the Institutes Board of Governors.

Student Grade: £15.00

Applicants who have attained one of the following qualifications will be considered for Student Grade.

  • NVQ Level 2
  • 5 GCSE’s or equivalent
  • 5 MOL’s

Open to those employed within the Builders Merchants industry that are actively learning the trade through Training Courses.

Corporate (CIBM)

Manufacturers and Suppliers of Building Materials are invited to join as Corporate Supporters of the Institute and are offered three named employees from their company as Members. Current fee payable is £450.00 per annum.
